About the Artist

Joseph Fitzpatrick has taught at the University of Louisville, Bellarmine College, the Columbus College of Art and Design, the Ohio State University and the University of Kentucky. His work is in many public and private collections, including the Columbus Museum of Art, the Ohio State University Museum, the Dayton Art Institute, the Owensboro Museum, the Evansville Museum, the University of Louisville, the University of Kentucky Art Museum and Georgetown College. Professor Fitzpatrick currently teaches landscape painting at the Studio School, Louisville.

Fitzpatrick also exhibits at the Moorings Gallery, Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia; the Out of Hand Gallery, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia; Capt'n Evans' Wharf Gallery, Chester, Nova Scotia; Princess Street Gallery, Harbour Island, Bahamas; Chapman Friedman Gallery, Louisville and Ann Tower Gallery, Lexington, Kentucky.

Professor Fitzpatrick was recently awarded a residency at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre for the Arts at Annaghmakerrig, Ireland.
