About the Artist
Pam Johnson has enjoyed various art forms since childhood. Primarily
a self-taught artist, she has enhanced her abilities and learned
the basics from many nationally known artists. She began painting
professionally in 1984. Her talent has been recognized by judges
in competitive and non-juried shows throughout New England, and
her work has been purchased by private and corporate collectors.
Known for her bold and vivid colors, Pam creates a scene by harmoniously
blending the pigments to form a unique style that captures the intricate
details of nature.
In the past Pam has chosen watercolor in which to express her creativity.
Recently, she has begun to explore oils and is enjoying the challenges
of this new medium. Her objective is to share the part of her world
which so greatly influences her life, and she takes great pride
in her form of expression.
Current memberships include the Copley Society of Boston, Maine
Women in the Arts, Concord Art Association and the New England Watercolor
Society.
